God intends for us to have and display His power each and every day. It’s the good news of the indwelling Christ—“Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27 NIV). Are you experiencing it?
In a letter to the Ephesians, we see the same ideas as in Paul’s letters to the Colossians. If we meditate on these verses, what truths do we see that can be incorporated in our daily life?
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:16-19 NIV)
Truths that change our lives:
1) God strengthens us with His power through the Spirit, and Christ who dwells in us.
2) Knowing the fullness of Christ’s love for us is foundational to this kind of life.
3) Knowing the width, length, height and depth of this love is the doorway to being filled up with God.Which of these three truths is most difficult for you to believe? To live out?
