How to Live with Uncertainty

Do you have any uncertainty in your life right now?

One of the promises that Jesus left with us was the promise of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12,13 NIV).

Jesus’ words are a New Testament response to something God promised long ago through the prophet Isaiah:

“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them” (Isaiah 42:16 NIV).

Maybe you’re entering a season of career upheaval or maybe you are unsure of how to care and parent one of your children. You may be a recent grad with an undefined future ahead of you. No matter what uncertainty you are facing, consider the guiding hand of the One who says, “I will not forsake them.”

God is with you. He will guide you, even when the way is unfamiliar and rough.

Reach for Him now by saying, “Lord take my hand, I can’t do this alone!”
